Discrete-level (binary, ternary) chirps simplify the necessary hardware and software in the development of respective devices essentially, but assure the wide frequency range measurements and high energy-efficiency at the same time. Mostly the chirps with instantaneous frequency, which is changing by a power function, is treated.
